Our Story
Big Blue Spa has been providing quality spa and pool service and repairs in the Lake Tahoe and Carson Valley since 2007. We pride ourselves in our commitment to providing the absolute best service possible at each and every call out. We collect as much information as possible prior to going out to ensure we stock our truck with as many parts possible to fix the problem on that initial call out. Having our service and repair department run by owner Sean Pistole who brings with him over 30 years of plumbing, electrical and quality control experience assures you your job will be done clean and right.
Owner/contractor Alisa Ashbaugh brings with her an additional 15 years of hot tub and pool repair experience however she shines in heading the technological and management side of the company. Over the last decade she has created the ability for anyone in the company to answer a question regarding rental schedules and service stops at their fingertips. She also makes herself available to answer and explain technical questions when the techs are out in the field and unreachable.
In the last few years, Big Blue Spa has expanded to opening a brick-and-mortar store in beautiful downtown Gardnerville where they now proudly sell Arctic Spas and All Weather Pools. In the store, you will find our amazing team cheerfully waiting to answer all your questions regarding water chemistry and educate you on our highly therapeutic and energy-efficient spas!
Our field team greets your spa/pool needs with a combined 80+ years of experience in electrical, plumbing, installation, and chemistry!! You will see and feel the moment our technician steps on your property that you are in well-educated and experienced hands.
